Ken, Kierstyn and Mikayla's Birthday Fun...

 Sunday we celebrated Ken's (10.15), Kierstyn's (10.17) and Mikayla's (10.25) birthdays at the 

Wild Animal Park... We surprised the girls with flight line tickets and they couldn't wait to get going!!!

Needless to say they freaked out a little bit when Ken plugged the hole with his bum and threatened to freshen their limited air supply (if you know what I mean)....

 Terra, the deer whisperer!

 Ken couldn't resist!  That is one cool deer :)

 Nothing better than a Subway picnic on a beautiful San Diego day at the zoo!!!

Except for the bees of course who thought Ty was one of them in his bright yellow shirt :)

I could spend all day with the Lokeets!!!

We bought nectar and fed them... 

So exciting!!!

 Getting all suited up to zip line!!!

We were sooooooooooooo excited!

The first zip line was a practice line... 

It was shorter and slower, but gave us an idea of how to land safely...

 On the caravan to the big zip line...

 

Walking out on the flight line apparatus was extremely nerve wracking...

We were up high enough that we had to be tethered in case of a fall!

All of our legs went to jello and the girls turned white as a ghosts

(including myself I'm sure)!!

 

Mikayla was strapped in first, then Kierstyn and then me!!!

This was our view as we zip lined over the "African Sahara"!!!

AMAZING!!!

 Ken was on the other end with the kids waiting on us!!!

 The adrenalin was definitely high upon landing!!!

Look at Kierstyn in the middle!!!

We walked around for the rest of the day!

The boys looked for "wild life" with a magnifying glass!!!

 There were three new baby elephants born this year!!!!

 We were seeing if we could jump as long as some of the animals at the park...
Ken definitely made a worthy effort!!!

 So funny!!!

 We were ready to head home by the end of the day!!!

 We had made a lasagna that morning and it was waiting for us at home!!!

We were all starving!!!

 We gave Ken his birthday surprise and had some yummy cake!!!

By the time we added Mikayla's 14 candles, that cake was a flaming!!!
