We absolutely love our home!!!
We hadn't really fully grasped the amount of work we'd done on the house until we saw the side by sides photos of the before(s) and after(s)!!
We are so proud of all we've accomplished. We found our "forever home" and made it our own. Ken and I sit at night looking around wondering how the heck we managed it :) I love you sweetheart and I love the house we made a home...
Sorry for the spacing... I had to scroll the photos down so that you could see them in their entirety!
Keep scrolling down :)

The front of the house was pink and completely ran down! The yard was full of weeds and the house was obviously very pink!!! We chose a neutral earthy color (with the help of Bobbi) and landscaped the entire front including giving the park benches and picket fence a face lift :)
The backyard was a wreck! I didn't include the before photo of the patio, but the entire enclosure was built by Ken and Steve! It turned out absolutely beautiful! We love the extra living space we've
created in the back! The front yard is completely different and the kids love playing out there now!!!
The photos don't do justice to the before condition of the girls room. It was a nightmare. There were holes in the wall from the chair-railing and the most awful pink and purple combo not to mention the fact that it was filthy!! The girls picked a very fluorescent green and LOVE their new 'grownup' room!!!
Ty's room was white, but had little else going for it. It was filthy (like everything else in the house) and literally had boogies wiped across the walls. Ty chose a sky blue and black theme and it turned out gorgeous! He loves his new room!!!
The living room dining room combo was a work of heart. If you notice, it was painted in a semi-gloss highlighting all of the imperfections in the plaster wall. The fixtures were outdated years ago and the floors hadn't been done since 1953! We chose a flat color that we felt was 'us' and sanded and refinished the floors throughout! We updated the fixtures, installed a ceiling fan in the living room and put up window coverings!
Our work in the living room carried over into our dining room where we installed updated fixtures and window coverings...
The bathroom was a nightmare. The original tub had been coated a few years ago but was chipping off. We revamped the entire bathroom and love the way it turned out :)
One of my favorites... The side yard baffled us until just a couple of weeks ago. We weren't sure what we wanted to do with it, but love the way it finally turned out!!! We can't wait until next week when we plant our veggie garden with the kids!!
Our bedroom was another biggie... It was so dirty that we had to wear masks when doing the work. We stripped out the carpet, removed the popcorn ceiling and painted. We have yet to put the crown molding up, but it's on Steve and Ken's honey do list :) We absolutely love our bedroom!!!
This could well be the grossest part of the house when we moved in. The top of this cabinet was used as a giant kiddie litter box by the prior home owners. It was the most disgusting think I've ever seen! We scrubbed it, primered it, painted it and made it into a planter! We love it!
Again, the before and after is crazy! Ken and Steve built the new gate and we landscaped the entire thing.
Needless to say, Ken has blocked the DIY channel from all of our TV's in the house (hahaha) but we couldn't be more pleased with the way everything has turned out!!!
Man are we tired!!!
